OXEGEN PREPARES FOR HEINEKEN GREEN SPHERES INVASION

OXEGEN is set to be invaded by a brand new stage this summer.

Heineken Green Spheres will descend upon Europe’s favourite rock and roll weekend in Punchestown this July, bringing the best summer sounds from legends and those in the making. Heineken Green Spheres pitches its tent with the fans and will transport them to a unique space where they can get their music kicks over the weekend.

Alongside headliners 2 Many DJs, Pet Shop Boys and Manic Street Preachers, the Heineken Green Spheres stage will host over 20 acts belting out top notch tunes over the weekend.

Home grown talent takes a bow on Friday with Republic of Loose, Fight Like Apes and God Is an Astronaut taking to the stage. Mogwai return after their acclaimed three night stand in the Academy this spring.

On Saturday, TV on the Radio make their Irish festival debut in what is set to be one of the highlights of the festival. The wonderful Regina Spektor showcases her new release ‘Far’ and Peter Doherty will be dropping by.

Sunday sees Foals return with some slices from their next album and Glasvegas make yet another triumphant trip to these shores. And for those of you who will miss out on seeing Friendly Fires at the Heineken Green Spheres gig in Waterford on May 27th, rest assured cause they’re back on the Sunday.
